Hi everybody,
The freeshaper kitesurfing english forum is open ...
If you 've got any question, any doubt, any presentation, Just post it __________________________________
Site Looks good so far, How about some info on precured topsheets for a deep glossy finish. In english please.
I was thinkng this.
lay out my topsheet( 6oz e glass and .75oz e glass) on a piece of release plastic that is on a plexi table I will use super clear uv stable epoxy and put my rice paper graphic on next. Then let that gel.
then for my lay up I will use pigmented epoxy on the core then 2 layers of 6 oz e glass, Then flip the gelled topsheet on top of my lay up and tape the palstic to the table ready for vack.
Will this work??? Will something work better?
Hi sean and welcome to the freeshaper world So, you want to made a glass top sheet, not to use a plastic top sheet and not to add weight on your board.
I don't think that, even if you let gelify epoxy, it doesn't mix with your colored epoxy. it depend on the gelify time. but it cans work.
But the finish will not be very deep. To be deeper, you could paint your core with acrilyc paint and lay up only with epoxy without any pigment. you can obtain something like that (without painted core):
The graphic was between the two last lay.
Thank you for the web site.

Did my reply answer to yours questions ? __________________________________
Your english is pretty good, Your answer helped alot. The link was more for people like me who don't speak any french.
I love the site but It looks like I am the only one here speaking english.
I glassed the bottom of my first recently, but did not put any graphics on it, I am interested in how alot of the graphics on the boards here are done, I was looking thru the photo album and there is some really nice boards...
especially Blacksail, You are a master
Here is a pic showing how shiny my first board came out, I am happy with the results, But would like to brighten up with some graphics next time. also I did not realize the pigment is transparent and not opaque so the core shows thru a bit.

Hi sean. Thank you for your compliment.
The graphics could be done differently :
+ very thin paper printed and insert jsut before the glass,
+ painting with tape made Stencilled. Example :
+ top sheet, you could find it here
http://www.freaksoffashion.de/+ use pigment. Certain will be transparent and other not. This one is opaque :
The french web site is an evolution of my firsts sites. I do it since 8 years.
The english version is more recent : 2 monthes and i try to develop it. The translation need time and I try to do it the more i can.
Tell me what you need to do it first ...
The link doesn't not work because I 'm not a boardbuilding yahoo group members. You can post pics on this site.
